Rev. Gabriel T. O'Reilly

Rev. Gabriel T. O'Reilly

March 7, 1944- June 7, 2013

Visionary & Founder of HOPE Outreach Center.

It was under Father O'Reilly's guidance that HOPE Outreach  was created  to help those in need  and marginalized in our community.

He intended to reach out, to find and help those who hurt physically, emotionally, financially, or otherwise;  those "falling between the cracks".

In his original letter to launch the program, he sought  to provide:

  • The spiritual counseling of the Sisters of St. Joseph B. Cottolengo
  • Immediate response with emergency supplies from the food pantry
  • Pro bono  Services provided by volunteers of the St.  David community
  • Assistance to the homebound and handicapped

This was an ambitious, far-reaching goal, but because he believed it was God's will, he knew it would be done, and his dream was realized beyond his expectations.

Today HOPE Outreach Center is a full-fledged human services organization, and his legacy continues  to serve the people of this  community whom  he so compassionately wanted to help. His memory and spirit will live on and help guide our future works as we continue  to minister to the needs of those less fortunate.

Thank You Father O and may you rest in the Glory of God!!

Your  HOPE Outreach Family
