Executive Director Jeanne Tamargo

The Board of HOPE Outreach Center, Inc. welcomes new Executive Director Jeanne Tamargo to lead its philanthropic efforts and support services throughout Broward County. Tamargo succeeds Helen Shinners, who recently retired after leading the organization for almost 20 years. The Davie, Florida based community-driven organization was founded to assist those in need with immediate services and support for an improved quality of life.

“Jeanne brings vast working knowledge from two decades of nonprofit work in South Florida,” said Terry Salzman, Chair of the HOPE Board of Directors. “We were very impressed by her experience, compassion and passion to assist people in need of services at HOPE Outreach.”

An accomplished nonprofit professional, Tamargo brings the necessary skill set to enhance existing and develop new services and programs, for the clients of HOPE. In addition to advocating for services and her involvement on advocacy committees, Tamargo knows the good work of HOPE is truly possible thanks to the volunteers who assist daily.

“I believe in HOPE! Its outreach services help the working poor, educate children and care for the elderly. I know that our staff and volunteers are committed to Helping Other People Every-day (H.O.P.E.),” said Jeanne Tamargo, Executive Director of HOPE Outreach, Inc. In the nonprofit world, Tamargo worked with the mentally ill, the homeless, gangs and unwed mothers. Tamargo earned her Master’s Degree in Health Services Administration at Barry University and her Community Psychology Degree from Nova Southeastern University.
