The Children’s LEAPS Program

The Children’s LEAPS Program, located at Eastside Community Hall in Davie, serves low-income children, with the highest needs, in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

LEAPS stands for Learning & Enrichment Activities for Primary School

This fun, creative, learning environment helps children:

  • Develop academically , socially , emotionally, spiritually and physically
  • Build caring, respectful, relationships with others
  • Enhance their teamwork skills through indoor/outdoor play and games
  • Appreciate music, dance, and theater
  • Express their creativity through arts and crafts
  • Improve literacy in reading and comprehension as well as writing skills through storytelling ,reading circles and journaling activities
  • Increase interest in science and math through demonstrations, fun activities and field trips
  • Achieve academic success through homework assistance

Your gift helps provide nutritious snacks, equipment, field trips, special programs and celebrations.

Thanks to the generous contributions of donors and volunteers, this program is offered free-of-charge to qualifying families.
